Family Visit
Grandma Ruth and Aunt Dannie came for a visit last week. We had a nice time eating good Seattle food, taking Leana to the zoo for the first time (where she found the other children more interesting than most of the animals), going to parks and on lots of little walks. I was spoiled by the extra help watching Leana and having an assistant diaper changer, since the changing table has become quite the struggle with Leana.

Decatur Island
We just got back from a nice weekend on Decatur Island. It was our first experience with a baby sleepover!

8 Months Old!
The months just keep flying by...this month Leana has hit a lot of milestones.
Her latest tricks include:
-Crawling! She is on the move all the time these days.
-Climbing! She loves to pull up on things and can make it to a standing position in her crib, onchairs, the safety gate, me legs and even doors. This has led to a few more head banging and bruising experiences :(
-Sitting up! Not only has she finally mastered sitting up, she can also put herself in this position from crawling and also enjoys sitting on her knees.
-New teeth! Leana has 3 new upper teeth for a total of 5 that I can see (it's hard these days to tell because she doesn't appreciate me sticking my fingers in her mouth.
-Talking! Well not exactly talking but she has said the two most important words: da-da and ma-ma. These may not be in reference to Jeff and I just yet, but it sure is nice to hear her say them anyway.
-Getting Sick...Leana has been dealing with more colds and yucky stuff this month, she had some sort of viral infection, maybe Roseola, and currently has terrible congestion making her sound like Darth Vader and giving her the snottiest nose I've ever seen.

Happy Easter!
Leana's first Easter was complete with an egg hunt, brunch and lots of candy. She mostly just enjoyed playing with the plastic eggs and tasting her first egg yolk.
