San Francisco Adventure

We spent my birthday in San Francisco with the kids. We had a great time playing at the dolores park playground, going to union square to see all the Christmas lights, riding street cars and a carousel, and got ice cream cones to top it off. Leana decided at the end "I think you had a nice birthday, but I didn't know we were going to walk 300 miles!"
We were lucky enough to stay at a friend's apartment, which happened to be at the corner of Julian St :)

Kid free weekend!

Jeff and I got away for the weekend!  Thank you Mom and Dad!!

Big Sur Camping

I'm really behind! This camping trip was over a month ago...it was beautiful and amazing and we all loved it!

Julian is FOUR!

Happy 4th Birthday Julian! We celebrated with a little party at our house with some of Julian's new school friends, all the grandparents, and aunt Dannie and cousin Sean. Julian wanted a batman cake and Nana Kathy made a great one for him.
Just a few days before turning 4, Julian learned to ride his pedal bike without training wheels! Such an exciting moment to watch and he was so proud of himself.

Juju continues to love all of his old favorites: cars, trucks, trains and planes. He still loves superheroes too and Batman is his favorite and now we spend a lot of time reading superhero books - he loves them all. He's also still mesmerized by music and loves to listen, play music, sing and dance. See below for videos of his musical talents and bike riding skills!

His latest interest seems to be in all things electronic and/or mechanical  He loves to push buttons and flip switches, and he is very curious about what everything does and how everything works.  We may have a future engineer on our hands!

Philadelphia Trip

We traveled to the east coast for my cousin shira's wedding. The kids (and Jeff! ) got to ride in my uncle's corvette and they had fun getting fancy and taking silly photos in the photo booth. A nice bonus was getting to visit our Seattle friends who moved to Princeton a few years ago!

Leana's 6th Birthday

When you move to a new state a week before your birthday you get to have 2 parties! Leana had a pool party in seattle with her kinder friends and then another pool party at Nana and Papi's house in Carmel Valley. Her favorite things right now are beanie boos and Lego sets, so she got lots of those.  She still loves to be outside and active; she loves swimming,  hula hooping and jumping on trampolines. She is reading more every day and loving 1st grade so far.  Her latest career choice is "5th grade teacher" and her birthday request this year was that we go to the beach and all be together as a family - "no one goes running!" she demanded.
