Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday was a much anticipated event in our house - mostly by Leana who was very excited about the arrival of the Easter Bunny.  Thankfully she (the Easer Bunny, who Leana decided is a girl) did not forget about us and hid lots of eggs in the yard. Julian found one or two eggs and then decided that playing with sticks, water and mud was more fun.  Leana found every single egg and then they were hidden and re-hidden a couple times by the stand in East Bunnies (Mom and Dad).

Julian - 2.5 Years Old!

Julian turned 2.5  years old over the weekend.  Still as sweet as ever (most of the time), Juju loves throwing rocks in water, being outside, playing with Leana, planes, trains, trucks and cars, building his legos, and all things music.

He turns everything into a drum set and also like to listen to "Peepee (Peter) and the Wolf".  He can narrate a lot of what happens int he story and can tell which instrument is playing and which character they each portray.

Julian is talking so much now and picking up more words every day.  One night he pointed out and said "trombone, trumpet, bass" all for the first time while we were reading a book.  He has much longer sentences now and loves to narrate what is going on all the time.  Much of this is still hard to understand but it is such a difference than where he was just a few months ago.

Some of his favorite books these days are: The Little Blue Truck, Big Joe's Trailer Truck, Tchoupi, Goodnight Goodnight Construction Site, Knick Knack Paddy Whack and Busy Busy Town.

Julian sleeps in his big boy bed now and even puts himself down for naps sometimes!  He is only allowed to have his buddy and binky in his bed now so he goes there to snuggle with them whenever he gets upset or feels like laying low and the last couple days he also did this at his nap time and I found him asleep in there!

 bird bath fun

free cone day at Ben & Jerry's - Juju was so happy!

Nature walk with Daddy - throwing rocks in puddles
Slide time - Juju rarely goes down a slide by himself, so different from his sister!
More rock throwing at Greenlake

Lego building - his biggest skyscraper on wheels yet!
Xylophone Drum (Juju named it this)

Aunt Dannie and Cousin Sean's Visit!

We had a nice time with Aunt Dannie and cousin Sean last week!  Leana and Julian were so interested in baby Sean and had fun watching him crawl around and pull himself up.  We made a trip to the Seattle Center where we rode the Monorail (choo choo!), Sean took a nice nap by the fountain, and Leana found her friend Kaiya to play with.  We attempted multiple times to get a picture of the 3 kids together but Julian is the biggest obstacle there - there's no way to convince that kid to do anything he doesn't want to do!  We did succeed in eating out at a restaurant with everyone (thai) where Leana proclaimed "they made the food really yummy tonight!"

Sean - 11 months

Greenlake: Sean and Dutch meet, Leana smiles with her 2 cousins, and Julian throws about 1000 rocks into the lake.

Seattle Center: Julian was mesmerized by the fountain and Leana and Kaiya ran up and down the water many times.  Sean slept on the grass!

The only way I managed to get a picture of the kids together!
