Remlinger Farms - 4th Annual Adventure

Kids had a blast! Juju went on the roller coaster with me once and then was "all done".  Leana and Willa rode it about 5 times in a row and went back for more later!

Julian - 2.75 years old!

A little late in posting but I did not forget about our sweet boy turning 2.75.  Juju still loves music and musical instruments.  He can point out and say: oboe, bass, guitar, violin, drum, xylophone, trumpet, horn, maracas and trombone.  He also still loves trucks, cars, planes and trains, being outside and throwing rocks in water.  He can count to about 14 and knows most of the letters, and he has started singing along to Caspar Babypants - his favorite song is Spider John. Some of his favorite books right now are:  Zin Zin Zin Violin, Little Critter books, Everyone Poops and I'm a Pill Bug.

Julian got s spot for the EEU preschool next year.  He passed out of his need for speech services - he was average for communication and below average for articulation, but enough to qualify him as a "typically developing" kid.  He is saying so much now and getting easier to understand every day.

5 Days on Decatur

The kids spent 5 days on Decatur, that may be a record for them!  Leana discovered the little hiking trail that goes around the top of Decatur Head and she couldn't get enough of it!  She must have done it 3-4 times every day, rotating through any adult that was willing to take her.  I took Julian one time but had to carry him for most of it since it has a steep hill, some drop offs and involves climbing over and through a lot of branches.  They also liked going around the Head on the shore during low tide and finding the giant orange and purple sea stars.

 Island Life
 beach time
painting rocks and shells
Juju's favorite activity is still throwing things in the water
 Low tide around the Head
Leana begged for us to let her climb up the pirate ship ladder (not the sturdiest looking thing)
Juju walked all the way up to the school without asking to be carried since he got to hold the leash for Niko.

4th of July Hike: Barclay Lake (2nd Annual)

Leana really wanted to do the same hike we did last year on the 4th of July, and since the distance (4.4 miles), the elevation gain (hardly any) and the destination (beautiful lake that is nice for wading) were perfect for the kids we were happy to indulge this wish.
